It sounds like it is an issue with the wireless card in your laptop versus anything to do with the router, especially if the dropped signal is limited to the laptop. Make sure your drivers are update and if they are try reinstalling them

Edit: If that doesn't work make sure that your wireless card is both sending and receiving packets (just go under network sharing and click on the connection, status box should come up and you should see number that represent both sent and received, they should be in the millions). If it is really low report back and will see if your DNS settings are correct

Hello Dear…

Disconnection or fluctuation of the Wi-Fi network is the quite irritating issue for anyone but it can be fixed by following some solutions given below:

•   Update computer driver: First you will require to update the computer drivers because they play a big role while connecting the computer with the Wi-Fi network. I am mentioning here a few links through which you can update your system’s driver apps:

-   Toshiba – support.toshiba.com/drivers
-   Dell – dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/Products
-   HP – www8.hp.com/us/en/drivers.html
-   Lenovo – support.lenovo.com/us/en/products?tabName=Downloads
-   Sony – esupport.sony.com/perl/select-system.pl?DIRECTOR=DRIVER

Just choose your system or type it in and search the latest driver for your wireless card. There is generally a section called Networking and underneath you should watch a list of drivers. And one of them should contain the word “Wireless” in it. As well as, if you have more than one wireless driver then you require to figure out that which one you have installed on your PC.

The model number can be determined for your wireless card through pressing the Windows key + the Pause button at the same time. It will open the System Properties dialog. You can also open this dialog box by clicking on the My Computer > Properties > Advanced system settings > Hardware > Device Manager.

Now you will watch a list of devices with plus signs to the left bottom. Tap on the one called “Network Adapters” and there will be an entry for your wireless card.

From the list of the manufacturer’s web site, download that driver. After downloading the file to your computer just double click on it and follow the instructions to install. You might have to restart your PC.

If the driver on the PC was the problem, then the dropped connections should go away completely.

I hope with the help of these remedies mentioned above, you will fix your issue!
