Hello Dear!

Each computer has two separate systems: one for audio and one for video, depending on creation and the model of your computer. Your computer’s system is either configured with HDMI sound or S/PDIF jacks for extracting audio from your PC. In order to connect a television output to a desktop or laptop, you would require to use a video converter box.

Select Your Monitor Mode:

If you are a Dell or HP user, you can access your display settings just by going to Start > Control Panel > Personalize > Display Settings. Here you have the option to select between two display modes: single-monitor or dual-monitor.

The single-monitor mode lets users to switch between any one of the three video outputs: S-Video or laptop screen, split-desktop or a VGA-composite. Dual-monitor mode allows the same screen on any two of three possible video outputs. Switching between monitors can be easily done by using the function keys, plus the F2 or F8 keys.

Choose VGA-Composite or S-Video.

S/PDIF vs. HDMI Sound:

Non-HDMI sound to your sound system or TV monitor must be obtained from your laptop’s headphone or S/PDIF jacks. Your S/PDIF jack will give you 5.1 surround sound while your headphone jack will give you stereo sound.

Now set your sound jack which you like to use as your default by going to Start > Control Panel > Sound.

I hope with the help of these solutions mentioned above you will fix your issue!
