Hi Dear…..

To troubleshoot Lenovo printer issues, just follow the steps given below and test the printer after doing each one:

These solutions are only for local parallel port printers, not for USB or networked printers.

•   Make sure that the PC and printer are powered off.
•   Now verify that the parallel or USB cable are plugged into the printer and the computer.
•   Confirm that the parallel and USB ports are enabled by entering the BIOS.
•   Ensure that all cable extensions and Keyboard, Mouse (KVM), Video switch boxes are removed.
•   Measure the printer cable to make sure that it is no longer than 6 feet (maximum length supported).
•   Make sure that the printer cable fulfills the printer manufacturer requirements, ie: IEEE-1284.
•   Power on the printer and ensure it is in ready status to print.
•   Restart the PC and verify that the device is initialized and ready.
•   Make sure that you have downloaded and installed the latest printer drivers from the website of printer manufacturer.
•   Ensure that the device is being seen in the OS Device Manager.

-   For Windows 2000 or XP using the classic mode, tap Start, choose Settings, and then tap Control Panel. Double-click System.
-   For Windows XP by using category mode, tap Start, and then tap Control Panel. Tap Performance and Maintenance and then hit System.
-   Tap the Hardware tab and then tap the Device Manager button.

•   Now run the printer self-test according to the manufacturers' guidelines.
•   Ensure that the printer and cable combination work on another machine.
