Review of iPad Pro 12.9
« on: August 09, 2016, 12:33:32 PM »
iPad Pro 12.9 is Apple’s larger tablet that you can carry anywhere with you. Although it can’t replace your laptop completely, but you may do most of the tasks that you can perform on a laptop. It is a smart and creative build that is the dream hardware of the app developers. It may be proved ideal for those people who suddenly come up with some great idea and want to write it on the go. It is a device that packs a detachable screen for portability. It is a hybrid device that enables its users to flip effortlessly from sketching to typing to movies reports on the go.

Cost
The iPad Pro 12.9 costs US$799 (£679, AU$1249) for the 32GB Wi-Fi version, US$949 (£799, AU$1499) for the 128GB Wi-Fi model and US$1099 (£919, AU$1749) for the 256GB one.
If you want cellular too the smallest model is 128GB for US$1079 (£899, AU$1699), or you can splash out on a 256GB Wi-Fi and 4G model for US$1229 (£1019, AU$1949).

Build and design
It is a much bigger device than the average with the ceramic-like metal on the back, Touch ID home button above the Lightning port, and the curved edges. The other useful addition is that it packs in the four speakers in the corners of the device that are much more powerful and machined out like the mono speaker on the iPhone range.
In terms of weight, it is a well-balanced device and weighs 713g mass, but it isn't easy to hold in one hand for long like if you are reading something on it for long. So you just need to hold it in both hands. The extra weight should be a trade-off because of battery, screen and other components are not light weight, but you will buy it out of your interest of buying a larger iPad.

Screen
The LCD display on the 12.9-inch iPad Pro is its appealing factor because the expanse is excellent for watching movies, playing games, reading e-books, etc. It has got 264 pixels per inch pixel density. The display of iPad Pro 12.9 is bright and colorful. Apple has made one smart change in it that it has added a 2732 x 2048 resolution to the mix. This means you will stick with the same 4:3 screen ratio of previous iPads, but when using in landscape mode, it has the same pixels in vertical position as the iPad Air when you held iPad Air in portrait mode.

Apple Pencil
Apple Pencil is a smooth white plastic stylus that has a rubberized tip at the end, but internally it has loaded reams of sensors that let you write and sketch something with little force. It costs £79 / $99 / AU$165, but great to use. With intermittent use, it does run out after about a couple of days, so you'll need to be aware of that by using the widget in the notifications shade

Smart Keyboard
It a great tool for creative users because it is a dedicated text-entry mechanism as well as a cover for the iPad Pro. Initially you will not feel easy to type on it, but after using it for some time; you will get your flow back. This keyboard also supports some shortcuts of Mac keyboard like initiate search, jump around with the same key presses as before, and flick between apps. It's a good device and cost $169 / £129 / AU$269.
Split screen
There is certain benefit of big screen. Split screen mode is a very impressive feature as it enables multitasking ability on the iPad. It is very useful if you need to copy some details from one page to another.
