So you have got your first iPhone or iPad and wan to set up brand new device. What are you waiting for for your first upgrade? Let’s get started to set up!

If you turn on your brand new iPhone SE or 9.7-inch iPad Pro — or any new iPhone or iPad, you will see a screen that says "Hello" in many different languages the minute you turn it on. It is your own, personal setup and you can configure everything exactly the way you want. For that first, you need to understand your options.
•   Set up as "new" means starting everything, every setting from scratch. There are many ways to get started and this is for people who have never used an online services or smartphone or Apple devices before.
•   If you have already an iOS device and move the data from previous device to new on, restore backup online with iCloud or over USB with iTunes.
•   If you are a Windows or Android or BlackBerry user, there are many online services that you can use to move data from old devices to the new iPhone or iPad.
How to start to set up your new iPhone or iPad
Everything starts off the same way irrespective of whether you're setting up as new, switching from another device or restoring from backup.
•   Touch slide to set up and slide your finger across the screen to get started when it says.
•   Select your language. Your iPhone or iPad will pick the right language automatically if you bought it in your home country.
•   Select your country or region. If you have bought it in your own country and region, this should default to the correct place.
•   Slect a Wi-Fi network and enter its password, if it is required. Use Cellular for an iPhone or iPad with data if you do not have access to Wi-Fi or no networks.
•   Wait for some time until your iPhone or iPad gets activated because it can take a few seconds.
•   Enable Location Services if you want. Although, you can always change your mind later if you want. However, remember if you want to use apps like Maps, you'll need to enable some location service at least.
•   Set up your Passcode and Touch ID because security is important otherwise you can skip this step by choosing the option Set Up Touch ID Later.
How to set up your iPhone or iPad as new

•   Firstly, you need to link your device with your iCloud account. There are multiple ways doing so:
o   Sign in with an existing iCloud Apple ID using your username (typically email address) and password).
o   Tap Use different Apple IDs for iCloud and iTunes if you want to set up things like that.
o   Create a new, free Apple ID.
o   Tap “Skip This Step" if you do not want to do either right now. If you do not an Apple ID yet, you can always go back to create one or sign in from the Settings app at any time.
